No, Surrey is not a suburb of Vancouver. Furthermore, Surrey is not even next to Vancouver. There are three cities between Vancouver and Surrey:

  • Richmond

  • New Westminster

  • Burnaby

However, Surrey is not far from Vancouver and Surrey is part of the Metro Vancouver area. The travel time between the two cities is around 35 minutes. Surrey may be close to Vancouver, but it is its own city and is quickly reaching the population of Vancouver.
